Essence - Rustic Rub

Adapted from "Louisiana Real and Rustic" by Emeril Lagasse

8 tbsp. paprika

3 tbsp. cayenne

5 tbsp. freshly ground pepper

6 tbsp. garlic powder

3 tbsp. onion powder

5 tbsp. salt

2 1/2 tbsp. dried oregano

2 1/2 tbsp. dried thyme

 

Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend well. Rustic Rub can be stored in an airtight container in your spice cabinet for up to three months.

Yields 2 cups.
