Many painters come to this deck at the foot of Snail Road to paint Provincetown Harbor with the iconic "first" houses at the Commercial/Bradford Streets fork as a focal point. I think this painting was a work-in-progress of Steve Kennedy, a successful landscape artist. At the other end of Snail Road, across Route Six, a footpath owned by the Town of Provincetown within the Cape Cod National Seashore Park, known locally as the Spaghetti Strip, provides access for adventurous hikers to the Atlantic Ocean and the historic dune shacks over the Province Lands dunes.
